Captain's Match Report

Well I left home in Maidstone at 6.30am to the pouring rain & wind and thought to myself, "why today". The motorway was quite clear traffic wise but the conditions didn’t seem good for golf.
After a bacon roll and banter, we went off the 10th tee and surprise surprise we had a virtually rain free round. Brian myself and Derek had a reasonable round and again some banter and fun ensued.
The course was very wet especially by the greens and several chips just stopped dead in the water which was difficult. The greens however were in excellent condition and we had a nice round.
Going through the scores, congrats to Stewart Ryan with 36 just beating Sean Down on count back. Plus again Brian Goodhew in the winning ways. The average being 27, it seems this year I’m an average golfer. A nice meal and a good track.
Don’t forget the next MAGS is on 22nd of Nov the 4th Friday at West Malling. Also my CA Charity day on Friday 1st November at West Malling please let me know. And Tim's Charity day on the 6th at Chart Hills.
