Captain's Match Report

32 gathered for the Captain's day at the Ridge and we started with lovely bacon roll, Dave Verga holding court with Bank machines and sorting things out I think. With some last-minute juggling of groups we started off at the later time of 11.30. My group was Sean and Richard and we made good work of some holes and a few problems on others a very mixed round was had by our little group.
Congratulations to Karen Gentle with 36 points who we thought had won the day following Candice's win last month. However, Dave Swinbank came in with 40 points and won the day and div 3. Special mention to Roy Goodhew who came third and div 1 winner with 33 points playing off 7, what a bandit I hear you cry! So now he’s off 6. Well done everyone.
We then had a lovely meal for 35 organized by Tim and thank you to all of you for coming and supporting me on the day. It was great to see Peter Gray attending and hope we might see him out on a course soon, holidays permitting. Hope to see you all at Birchwood when hopefully my captains gift will be available.
I am having a charity day at West Malling Spitfire course on Friday 1st Nov. Coffee, Bacon roll, ham egg chips and prizes for £40 supporting Church Army please let me know if you can come support.
