Captain's Match Report

33 of us met at Boughton golf club very early. There was some confusion about bacon roll or breakfast but we managed well with the sustenance offered.
Instead of Brian taking the money we had the new treasurer Dave with a little white electronic box which despite teething problems seemed to work well. Although at times no one seemed to know where the queue was. I thought I saw Brian smirking at some stages in the proceedings.
Tim had arranged for us to go off the 1st and 10th thus splitting the field into 2 groups. My group of Stewart and Gill Ryan, I’m glad Stewart knew the course so well as one or two groups lost their way. We had a very enjoyable time and Gill played very steadily all the way round and was in fact our winner on 39 points 4 above any one else.
The course I felt was quite long and caught several of us out but in the main everyone enjoyed our game.
