Captain's Match Report

A bright crisp morning greeted 29 at Redlibbets G.C. We first played here about Twenty Years ago so it was a welcome return, we were told that the course very rarely does not allow buggy's which would be an ideal course for the winter however the weather had got the better of the course also there was the prospect that trolleys were going to be banned and people would have to carry however this did not occur. For the first few holes the greens were still frozen however once the sun had reached its height they began to thaw out which I think gave the better conditions to those who went out towards the back. However from the scores that came in everybody found it quite a tough course as the highest score for a MAGS member was below 30. On a bad note Tim Grimes & Dave Swinbank were going to join us for dinner however they had an accident on the way there and were unable to attend, thankfully neither of them were hurt just a bit shaken and they should be with us next month.
Our next venue is Tudor Park which is unlikely to allow buggy's so get your names to Tim as soon as you can.
