Captain's Match Report
Another fine day at one of the best courses we play. Considering that it's in the middle of the holiday season, 37 players turned up which made this the most so far this year. Again we had a few errors with the scores that means that the winner of Division 1 has changed from Gary Kisby to Trevor Woods who won on count back on 32 points the same as Gary's revised score. The overall winner Dave Ealham also had a mistake only scoring 37 points and not 38, however this did not affect him winning Division 2 and the overall prize. There were a couple more errors however these did not effect the scores. It was great to see that we had 4 guests this time and I hope that they will return and join our happy band.
Our next venue is Broke Hill on 15th September for my Captains Day so I hope many of you will be able to attend. We meet at 10.00am for coffee and bacon rolls with the first tee at 11.00am. Please let me or Tim Grimes know if you are coming, I have reserved 4 buggy's so far however if more are required please let me know ASAP. I will also need to know those of you that will be attending the evening meal and will be going to collect your partners so that you will be going out in the early groups. Those that are staying and not picking anybody up will go out in the later groups. The evening meal is 19:00 for 19:30 so hopefully you will have plenty of time to get back. The cost for the whole day is £45 providing we get 30 players, the cost of the evening meal is £20, also can you please let me know if there are any dietary requirements so I can let the course know. The evening meal is 3 courses however if you do not want a dessert and would rather have Cheese & Biscuits again please let me know as there might be a supplement.
