Captain's Match Report
31 golfers turned up at Broome Park and had a hearty breakfast followed by our AGM. The weather was with us again even though there was a little chill in the air and a slight breeze. The course was in very good condition however due to lack of rain the fairways were a little hard but this did not deter anybody as the ball would run well even from a bad shot. The greens were very hard to read at times however from scores that came back this did not seem to cause any problems to most people as quite a few players scored 30 points plus. The nightmare round of the day came from our handicap secretary who only managed to score 12 points, I think he's trying to get his handicap back up ready for Portugal in June.
Our next venue is Hever Castle which is a lovely course and one we have not yet played in the summer so make sure you get your names down as soon as possible. Also please make sure your membership is sorted as you will only have until the end of May.
