Surrey National Golf Club - The Autumn Sheild
The season continues at the Surrey National Golf Course formally known as the 'Happy Valley'! This course has at least four very difficult par 4's not to mention the 3rd par 3 which carries 150 yards over the lake. The course is always kept in good condition and is a good test for all golfers. Let’s see if any of you can reach the green in two on the 18th.

Captain's Match Report
Come the Autumn, comes the weather. A great turnout of 30 players arrived at the Surrey National on a blustery damp day to play for the Autumn shield. After a full English breakfast we set off though this time most of us finding the course quite long and hard going with the weather and which I thought some tricky greens! If you went in the rough it was hard to get out of or was that just me again? The fairway is there for a reason! But some players battled through to record some good scores with the eventual winner Simon Muir getting 35 points scoring 23 points on the front 9! Another good display from Trevor Woods with 33 points and Barry England getting 30 playing off of 7, good stuff Barry. A very nice meal was had and presentations were made before we all set off for the M25 and the Friday evening Traffic. Thanks to all who turned up and hope to see you all again to play for the Armistice cup at Birchwood Park on the 20th of November.
