Well nobody proved me wrong at Hever, nobody got near to 36 points!
Let’s see if any of you can reach 18 points on the back nine at West Malling Spitfire Course, especially after you consume the hot mince pie and or the customary tipple warmer provided at the 9th. Mind you some of you might straighten up and keep your head down after a drink?
Captain Tim has agreed to carry on the tradition of toasting you if you land your tee shot on the 9th green. I don’t expect him to get even a little bit merry!
I’m still hoping I receive some donations of brandy and port for the winter warmer.
This Venue requires you to bring an unobvious wrapped present up to the value £10 which will be selected in rotation from overall stapleford score descending. Everyone receives a present, no snakes or porno presents please!
We usually fill this venue so please bring a guest, after this I’m sure they will join. We are still looking for new members.
We are in danger of being entertained as previous years with a new upcoming ecclesiastical multi-talented musician and magician. For this delight you will need to stay for the festive meal, come on, once per year for some of you to support the society!
Some of us whom have had operations recently and are unable to play golf are attending the festive meal and the entertainment.
For those of you who are seriously unable to attend, on behalf of the society... Best Wishes for Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
YOU CANNOT NOT ENJOY THIS MEETING! LET’S HOPE THE WEATHER HOLDS GOOD...

Hello Golfers,
Apologies for slightly belated report, a combination of work, xmas and no power for 4 days has hampered my endeavours.
However, many thanks to all those who made it to West Malling, it was a wet and windy start with a few pre-match dramas with Dave Verga’s car breaking down on the M20, and not being able to play. The course was in fair condition considering the inclement weather and I think most people managed to get round to the 10th without too much trouble.
As is traditional Roy and Brian, who unfortunately could not play, were in attendance with Mince pies and Port & Brandy, this of course had its usual effect on the concentration and subsequently the golf rapidly took a downward turn for a few of us! But it was well worth it.
The Christmas dinner was very convivial, and many thanks to Roy and Graham for entertaining us with first a magic show, and then some finely crafted and well honed singing :) Cheers Guys!
The next Venue is Faversham Friday 17th. Look forward to seeing you there, in the meantime have a great New Year.
Tim Grimes
Captain
