Come and play on the white cliffs and look over the channel. It can get a bit windy on those cliffs, however, on a clear day you can see France.
We had a good turnout last year; the course is long with quite a few inclines, so order your buggies early!

Despite a reassuring weather report by Moira Stuart only that morning! The weather started off decidedly iffy, with light drizzle and more than a bit cold. However 25 intrepid golfers having munched through their bacon baps, tee-d off across the cliffs of this good course with lovely scenery. Some evil golf architect had designed the course with the small but malevolently placed bunkers, exactly where I hit my ball and for the first 4 holes I thought I was at Camber. However judging by the scores it would seem that this course was suited to the lower handicap players who were probably more able to negotiate the hazards more affectively.
Dave Gentle Snr even went so far as to try and mount a breast shaped hazard, ably assisted by Mark Moore, much to the amusement of a grounds man who stated that in 30 years at the course he had never seen it attempted before. (See pic below and send your ‘Caption Competition’ answers to the Captain). Big thanks to Mick Corcoran who I understand gave up his buggy to Peter Self and Brian Goodhew, who may not have been able to play otherwise.
Nearest the pin on the 4th was Mark Moore, 11th John Burbridge, 14th Peter Self, 17th Edi Aruede and Nearest the Pin in 3 on the 12th was Trevor Woods who also had a cracking round scoring 39 points playing off 20.
Very well done to Graham Gove who scored 41 points playing off 16 making him the overall winner.
The next Venue is Deangate Ridge, 21st June, I look forward to seeing you there.
Note for diary... Thursday 25th July has been booked for fun day at Leeds Castle, details to follow.
