Our festive game includes some seasonal extras and you are encouraged to stay for the meal after and bring along a wrapped and now legendary SECRET SANTA GIFT. (This should be something you would be pleased to receive yourself and as a general guide, cost £10 - £15). MAGS dress code is to be observed although Christmas Jumpers are perfectly acceptable or even encouraged. As customary, our Captain Graham will provide port and brandy. There will also be snacks and the partaking of spirits midway through the round.

Dear Friends
This is the final report of the year after a dig from the handicap Secretary and web master about Brexit. He obviously does not have a lot to do this time of year compared to others.
We gathered at Kings hill and had Bacon roll gratefully received. We then thanks to Tim played on split tees which enables us to be in much faster. This went well and my group of Michael , Dean and Scott, where is he going on each tee plus Michaels wayward tee shots left us meeting at the hole several times. Dean had a really good game and was scoring freely. We hade a lot of jovial moments especially on the 18th when the drinks came out and then lovely refreshments in the spike bar. Thanks to Dave Verger for providing us with them.
We then had a fab xmas carvery in which I think the food was excellent and we chose the presents on the order assigned. I was so pleased to pick my 15 favourite golf balls as my present. Much laughter and gaiety was enjoyed. Congrats to Sean Downs with 39 points winning and div 2 winner Richard Coward with 37 and div 1 winner and Mark Parsons with 34 and div 3 winner.
Many thanks to Tim for organizing a fab Christmas meet. The irony of the quarter finals MATCHPLAY competition is that 2 of the committee went off piste and played a stableford competition. I don’t know if that now is the norm but I gather as it was like a debate on Brexi,t not remain or leave but matchplay or stable ford, The committee might have to GET IT DONE.
I wish with the committee a fab Christmas and New year and see you at Redlibbets. May the joy of the Angels, the surprise of the shepherds and the celebration of the wise men with the love of the Christ child be with you at this time.
Graham
