Captain's Match Report
The sun was shinning and there was a slight breeze to keep you cool as 36 golfers stepped onto the first tee, unfortunately it was the 3rd month in a row that I was unable to play. However this did not stop me from enjoying the day with Peter Barrett, Peter Self and Dave Swinbank. It was good to see that we had 3 guests and I hope that they enjoyed themselves and will look at coming again and joining our happy band. Also it was lovely to see Candice & Karen again. The course and greens looked in great condition so the chance of high scores looked on the cards however looking at the cards afterwards showed the conditions where a little more difficult as there were a lot of low twenty's and only a few who managed to score 30 or over. The choice for nearest the pin in 3 was proved to be the wrong choice as nobody managed to hit the green in 3. However the par 3's managed to give us 4 different winners which was good.
Our next venue is Darenth Valley, Shoreham on 18th August. This course is always in great condition this time of year so get you name down with Tim ASAP.
Captain's Day this year is on 15th September at Broke Hill Golf Club, Halstead. More details will follow in the next couple of weeks so if your interested please either let Tim or Myself know.
