Five par threes each with a difficult decision on club selection, but don’t over club the last, you may hit my car or the club house. Both problems will cost you!!!! This course will test your resolve, can get a bit muddy if wet but generally the whole course is usually kept in good playing conditions.

A damp start in contrast to last month’s Hemstead forest, scorcher but despite spending £39 on forgotten wet-gear, I really enjoyed the course and thought the greens were in very good condition. As the weather improved so did the golf, well for me at least! Most of you scored well and the cards indicated that 27 points was a popular score with atleast 6 of you. Condolences to Graham Nunn who was just pipped at the post on count back to Peter Barrett, bad luck Graham, but you must have been playing well as you nailed nearest the pin on the 5th par 3 and nearest the pin in three on the stroke index 2 par 5.
There were 38 playing with a good number of guests and pleased to note that 30 sat down later to enjoy the very good food and hospitality. Very pleased to see Stan & Dave Robinson back in the fold , welcome back guys.
The next Venue is the Captains Day at the Weald of Kent September 13th, please note that this is the 2nd Friday in September not the 3rd.
